Attending the meeting were representatives from 24 international organizations, the ministries concerned with 8 members of the provincial steering committee beneficiary program 135. Deputy Chairman of Committee for Ethnic Minorities, Mr. Ha Hung, member of Steering committee of the Poverty Reduction Program Central and Ms. Setsuko Yamajaki, Director UNDP country in Vietnam, co-chaired the conference.
Information from the report of the investigation and report mid-term evaluation of Program 135 Phase II showed that, now Program 135, Phase II was implemented in 1848 a special social difficulties; 3274 villages of the social sector II of the 306 districts in 50 provinces nationwide with a total investment from the central budget reached over 13.9 trillion VND. In the four years of implementation, program 135 has built 12,377 of the infrastructure; 2017 organized training extension; for hundreds of tons of plant food, thousands of tons of fertilizer materials, set with machinery, production tools ...
In addition to the index to information about 135 programs, the report also provides comprehensive aspects of economic development - especially social and communal problems of living, labor market , agricultural production, infrastructure for production and capacity and community participation in the program. This information helps the agency set policy determining factors promote and hinder the process of diversification of income, out of poverty in the poorest communes in Vietnam.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Setsuko Yamajaki wished to investigate the reports, evaluate the program 135 branches at all levels are concerned, non-governmental organizations and 135 social compatriots made annually, the agency policymakers Vietnam will have a basis to formulate strategies to reduce poverty better. Mrs. Setsuko said that the poverty rate in the ethnic minorities in Vietnam still very high (50%) should the efforts of the Government as well as the cooperation and support of nongovernmental organizations is necessary to solve this problem in the future.
Ending the meeting, Deputy Chairman of Committee for Ethinic Minorities, Mr. Ha Hung expressed his approval for the comments that the delegates participating in the meeting; plan period, the Program 135 Phase II will continue to focus on areas of poorest, simultaneously building support package needs to fit each particular locality, especially, next time, the province will implement new regulations on tendering and procurement management operation and maintenance and maintenance of the investment.
